At first I was very disappointed in myself for not writing in this for 4 months while I was abroad.. then I realized.. NOBODY READS OR KNOWS ABOUT THIS ANYWAY. SO I'm glad to keep the experience to myself.

FAIL CAITLIN

Tonight Slip and I were trying to watch the Superbowl here in Barca. We have witnessed how packed the playoffs got and have already heard of people not being about to get in after a certain point. So we decide to go to the Fahrenheit Bar were you have to pay 10 euros at the door but get 2 beers and a hamburger or a hot dog if we drop Caitlin's name. Since George Paynes usually fills up quick we thought we'd go for the deal. Barely get in  and they tell us its 10 euros but only one beer. They said they had no more room left and I guess ran out of the selection of shitty food and cheap beer. As we were leaving, Caitlin comes to the door and is talking to the bouncer about these other Americans who just got flat out rejected and she goes, "Waaaittt, why can't they come in?" We walk out and Slip screams "ADIOS CAITLIN". First off all miss, know your shit. Don't be a club promoter and not know what's even going on/the capacity of your club. Sending out 34 facebook messages daily does not classify you as a legit promoter. Anyway this place was more of a club/bar and what we needed was a dinky english pub to get roady in.

So by this the metros are closed and now we're in slump and missing the game (because I really care in the first place). We adventure down to a place called George and Dragon and it was actually pretty cool just packed yet doable if we were die hard fans. Glad we found it because I'd be down to stop by for longer next time. Didn't stay longer than 7 minutes and got the night bus back. Fail nights seem to be popular here.

One Month In

HOLA BETCHES! I'M IN BARCELONA

Greetings from the land of lisps- where speech impediments are hot.  I have been living in Spain for about a month now and cannot believe how fast time has flown without recording any dets down! I recently just switched into a new homestay, adios Carrer De Avenir! and now live in an amazing one on Comte de Urgell. My senora is so chill. All she does all day is drink, smoke, listen to the radio, yell at "ROSETTA" (the 15 year old cat), and play computer games. Yes, she is definitely an alcoholic no questions asked... we get along splendidly :) The stories that I have for no one reading this are endless, so I'll do random flashbacks and what not!

This weekend:

Went out to dinner with Kate and Jane and discovered the district El Born, the best place to be in Barcelona I say by far. It's kinda like Las Ramblas minus the sketch and the steroids. We ate an amazing dinner which is now just a faint memory that will forever linger. 

Went to Montserrat on Saturday and that was amazing. The mountains are unreal. The hike was intense and was so steep but definitely worth the pain I'm feeling today in my buns. 

When we got back we went to the futbol game and won.. obviously.  So much fun. MESSI!!!

Then we tried to get into Roxy for free before two but couldn't because that was too early for barca time, then tried to go to Duvet which ended up being Seniors night, and then tried to get in ten times harder. Then we finally stumbled to La Fiera the circus bar and got in for free because it was almost closing. Lee was stealing drinks the whole time, and got ruffied i mean wasted. 

I think I am going to book my flight to Amsterdam tonight, I don't see why not :)

Bulldogs and Blackberrys

The amount of Blackberrys and bulldogs I see in the city everyday amaze me. When I see both with the same person it makes me tingle.

YES. I need this badly.
